LWC Campus Kitchen competes to expand program's reach Campus Kitchen now serves 68 clients. Goal is 100 by end of 2017 By Travis Smith, Assistant Director of Public Relations Click on headline for complete story Lindsey Wilson College's Campus Kitchen Program was one of 27 other campus kitchen programs around the country that recently competed in the Raise the Dough Challenge. The goal of Raise the Dough, which occurred on Februaty 17-24, 2017. was to expand the ongoing mission of Campus Kitchens across the United States. Campus Kitchen helps assist the community by providing free meals to food insecure individuals. LWC Campus Kitchen raised $2,590, surpassing the goal of $2,500, through donations from 78 individuals. The money raised will be used to fund program costs and sustain more clients. LWC Campus Kitchen recovers approximately 500 pounds of food that would otherwise be wasted and delivers 225 meals every month to 68 clients.
