Agnes Goforth, age 86, of Yosemite, KY passed away on Saturday February 11, 2017 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 11amCT/12pmNoonET, on Thursday February 16, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Greg Powell and Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will be in the K.P. Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Wednesday February 15, 2017 and after 7amCT/8amET, on Thursday February 16, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

Agnes Goforth was born in Walltown, Casey County, KY on February 25, 1930. She was a daughter of the late Jack Greene and Eva Jane Salyers Wall. She died Saturday, February 11, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 17 days.

She was a childcare provider, a waitress for Bob and Deans Dairy Dale and a member of Grove Ridge Baptist Church.

She was the widow of Marcus Creech Goforth.

Survivors include:
  • One Son: Bruce Merritt of Yosemite, KY

  • Two Daughters: Sandi Durham of Hustonville, KY; and Gina Goforth Baldock of Yosemite, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Amanda Goforth of Yosemite, KY; and Cheyenne Durham of Hustonville, KY


  • One brother: Arlis Walls of Hamilton, OH

  • Three sisters: Rita Dunham of Mason, OH; Carol Butts of Cape Coral, FL; and Becky Anderson of Taylorsville, KY.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse is Six Brothers: Arnold, Lowell, Marvin and Merle Gene Wall, Hollis and Bobby Walls and One Sister: MaeDell Wall.
