Green County Grand Jury returns indictments 1 Feb 2017

Indictments brought against six individuals from Greensburg, Campbellsville, and Columbia, KY for charges including possession of controlled substances, theft, forgery, welfare fraud, rape, sodomy, and sexual abuse.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Green County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Greensburg, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Wednesday, 1 Feb 2017:


  • Joshua L. Dial (03/24/1992), Woodson Dr., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00001. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense (heroin). Count 2 - Drug paraphernalia buy/possess. Bond set at $1,000 cash, no alcohol use.

  • Joshua L. Allen (10/12/1997), Ashley Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00002. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no use of drugs or alcohol and no violations of the law.

  • Joshua L. Allen (10/12/1997), Ashley Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00003. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000. Same bond as 17-CR-00002.

  • Marnie H. Kjelsen (01/15/1973), Texas St., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00004. Charged with 8 counts. Counts 1-8 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no use of drugs or alcohol and no violations of the law.

  • Kimberly Meadows (08/27/1972), Liletown Rd., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00005. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Welfare fraud (commencement of porceeding for enforcement). Bond set at $3,000/10%.

  • Rebecca Scruggs (05/08/1983), Wheat Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00006. Charged with 23 counts. Counts 1-23 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Bond set at $25,000/10%, no contact with victim/premises.

  • Michael D. Murphy (02/04/1994), Grab Rd., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00007. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Rape, 2nd degree, no force. Count 2 - Sodomy, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Sexual abuse, 1st degree. Bond set at $10,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no violations of the law.
