Stoy Warren, 86, Green Co., KY/Taylor native (1930-2017)

He was a retired employee of Kentucky Trailers in Louisville and was also a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding. He was of the Methodist Fqith and was a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. He was a native of Taylor County and a resident of Green County at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Bee Warren & Gertie Nelson Warren. His wife of 53 years, Hazel Underwood Warren survives. He leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Stoy Warren, 86, of Greensburg, KY, formerly of Campbellsville, KY son of the late Bee Warren and Gertie Nelson Warren, was born October 14, 1930, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:10 P.M., Friday, January 27, 2017 in Louisville.

The funeral services will be at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Monday, January 30, 2017, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY by Bro. Elbert Hadley. Burial will be in Poplar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, January 29, 2017, at the funeral home.

Stoy Warren, 86, of Greensburg, formerly of Campbellsville, KY son of the late Bee Warren and Gertie Nelson Warren, was born October 14, 1930, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:10 P.M., Friday, January 27, 2017 in Louisville.

He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church.

Stoy was a retired employee of Kentucky Trailers in Louisville and was also a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding.

He united in marriage to Hazel Underwood November 30, 1963.

Besides his wife, Hazel Warren of Greensburg, KY, he is survived by:
  • Two sons and two daughters: Doug Warren of Campbellsville, KY; Glenda Warren, and Margie Walker and husband, Troy of Greensburg, KY; and Eli Warren and companion Kristy Parsons of Buffalo, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Casey Milby and husband, Jonathan; Natasha Walker, Shauna Walker and Evan Walker of Greensburg, KY; Brandi Bowen and husband, Andrew and Abigail Warren of Hodgenville, KY

  • Two great-granddaughters: Ariel Underwood of Hodgenville, KY; and Gertie Milby of Greensburg

  • One brother and two sisters: Gilbert Warren and wife, Agnes of Campbellsville, KY; Agnes Gunter and husband, Rollin of Franklin, IN; and Bernice Stillwell of Hodgenville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
Stoy was also preceded in death by three brothers: Roy Warren, Wilburn Warren and Linzie Herman Warren.
