Alvery Eversole, 78, Casey County, KY (1938-2017)

He was a logger and a member of the Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Alvery loved to fish and hunt. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a native of Perry County, KY, and a resident of Casey County, KY, at the time of his death. His wife of 34 years, Jackie Cissell Eversole, survives. He leaves 26 direct living descendants.

Alvery Eversole passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at his home in Casey County, KY. He was 78 years old.

Funeral services will be at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Tim Releford and Bro. J. R. Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Casey County Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 9amCT/10amET, Saturday, until funeral service.



Alvery Eversole, 78, Casey County, KY (1938-2017)


Born August 11, 1938 in Perry County, KY, he was the son of the late Kelly and Betty Colwell Eversole. He died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 78 years, five months, and 14 days.

He was a logger and a member of the Brush Creek Pentecostal Church. Alvery loved to fish and hunt. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jackie Cissell Eversole, whom he married February 12, 1982, and the following:
  • Three sons: Roger (and Susan) Eversole of St. Roberts, MO; Jeffery (and Eunice) Eversole of Mitchell, IN; and John Waylon Brown of Liberty, KY

  • Three daughters: Jeannie (and Mike) McAllister of Kennesaw, GA; Tina Stacy of Cartersville, GA; and Tamara Brown and (Josh) of Liberty, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Ten great-grandchildren

  • A sister: Joyce Colwell of Busy, KY

  • And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Enoch, and J.C. Eversole and three sisters, Gladys Campbell, Mabel Tucker and Fannie Eversole.
