She was a homemaker and a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Ernest & Amy Cooper Walters and the widow of Royce Richardson. She leaves 50 direct living descendants.

Magola Ann Richardson, 88, of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY.

Funeral service for Magola Ann Richardson will be 1pmCT, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Andy Robertson and Bro. James Robertson officiating. Visitation will be after 8amCT, Saturday. Interment in the New Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers: Grandsons.


Magola Ann Richardson, 88, Russell Co. KY (1928-2017)

She was born August 22, 1928 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ernest & Amy Cooper Walters. She died Wednesday, January 25, 2017, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 88 years, five months, and three days.

She was a homemaker and a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Richardson; grandson, Nathan Baldwin; and a brother, Athol Walters.

Survivors include the following:
  • Seven children: Jerry Richardson, Morristown, TN; Bruce (Sheila) Richardson, Russell Springs, KY; Karen (Roger) Baldwin, Oneida, TN; Steve (Deidre) Richardson, Russell Springs, KY; Roy (Moreka) Richardson, Georgetown, KY; Ronnie Richardson, Russell Springs, KY; and Ernie (Tracy) Richardson, Florida

  • Fifteen grandchildren

  • Twenty-eight great grandchildren

  • A sister: Mary Meece, Lexington, KY

  • Special friends: Dean & Edith Wilson, Janice Richardson, and Wanda Thomas
