LWC Men's Tennis ranked third in pre-season poll

COLUMBIA, KY (24 Jan 2017) - The Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team opens up the 2017 season ranked No. 3 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Top-25 Poll, the national office released Tuesday afternoon.

The Blue Raiders received 321 points in the poll. Last season, Lindsey Wilson won both the Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament titles.



Defending national champion Georgia Gwinnett is ranked No. 1. The Grizzlies received all 13 first-place votes and earned 343 points in the poll.

National runner-up Xavier (LA) is ranked No. 2 with 332 points, Keiser (FL) is No.4 earning 305 points and ranked No. 5 is Northwestern Ohio who received 304 points.

Three MSC teams appear in the Top-25. Cumberlands (KY) is ranked No.12 with 216 points, Campbellsville (KY) is ranked No. 20 and earned 135 points in the poll and Cumberland (TN) is ranked No. 25 with 76 points.

Pikeville (KY) appears in the receiving votes section with 28 points.
