Loyd Edwin Moore, age 79, of Louisville, KY, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Cremation was chosen, and a Celebration of Life will follow at a later time.

Loyd Edwin Moore, 79, Monroe Co., KY native (1937-2017)

He was born in Tompkinsville, Monroe County, KY on March 27, 1937. He was a son of the late Ernest Moore & Cloteel (Bybee) Moore. He died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 22 days.

His wife, Evie (Birge) Moore, survives.

Other than his wife, he is survived by:
  • One son: Tim (Dottie) Moore and one daughter, Tammy (Steve Ritchie) Centers, both of Louisville, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren

  • Three brothers: Dale (Brenda) and Larry (Sandy) Moore, both of Tompkinsville, KY; and Donald (Mary) Moore, Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Sue Copass and Patricia (Kenny) Jarvis, both of Louisville, KY
