David Hoover, 74, of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2:05amCT, at his residence

Memorial service will be at 11amCT, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Burbridge Cemetery, 775 Charlie Morrison Road, Columbia, KY (Chance Community), with Rev. Elbert Hadley officiating. V.F.W. Post 6097 will present full military honors following the service.


David Hoover, 74, Adair County, KY (1942-2017)


He was born May 2, 1942, in Adair County, to the late Gordon "Buster" and Agnes Pruitt Hoover. He died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 74 years, eight months, and 13 days.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era, and a carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; Nyle Hoover and two sisters; Brenda Sue Hoover and Sherry Campbell.

Survivors include:
  • Two sisters: Betty Dowell and Faye Kelsay both of Columbia, KY

  • A special nephew who David thought of as a son: Justin Wallace of Columbia, KY

  • Several other nephews, nieces and friends
