Hazel Pemberton, age 94, of Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday January 19, 2017 at the Liberty Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, on Saturday January 21, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Pastor Tucker Huntsinger officiating. Burial will be in the Whited Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday January 20, 2017 and after 7amCT/8pmET, on Saturday January 21, 2017, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born in Liberty, KY on July 11, 1922. She was a daughter of the late James Calvin "Ronda" & Ida Jane Allen Shepherd. She died Thursday, January 19, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 92 years, six months, and eight days.

She was a former employee of Liberty Sportswear.

Survivors include:
  • Three sons: Vernon James Baker of Anderson, IN; Gary A. Pemberton of Bradfordsville, KY; and Wayne Pemberton of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter: Patricia Huntsinger of Liberty, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Seventeen great grandchildren

  • Seven great great grandchildren

  • One brother: Edward Shepherd of Liberty, KY

  • One sister: Joyce Wash of Arlington Heights, Ohio
Besides her parents Hazel was preceded in death by one great grandchild and two brothers, Clyde and Roy Shepherd.
