KSP Post 15 activity for December 2016- no fatalities No fatalities in KSP Post 15 in December. Yearly total still grim, but is down from 2015; unfortunately, statewide fatalities up 50 from one year ago. Click on headline for complete report By TFC William R. Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY (Sun 15 Jan 2017) - During the month of December 2016, there were 19 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were no fatal collisions during the month of December in the Post 15 area. This brings our yearly fatality count to 31 compared with 32 through this same period in 2015. Statewide fatality count stands at 810 compared with 760 through this same period in 2015. During the month of December 2016, there were 1005 citations written, 219 courtesy notices written, 1071 vehicles inspected, 644 complaints answered, 84 motorists assisted, 62 criminal cases opened and 158 criminal arrests made.
