He was 69 years old. Funeral services will be at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the funeral home and will continue Tuesday from 6amCT/7amET, until funeral service. Pallbearers are Kenny Patton, Gerald Luttrell, Lynn Baldock, Harold Lynch, Paul Luttrell, and Kenny Morgan. He died Monday, January 9, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 69 years, two months, and 30 days. He was a member of the Thomas Ridge Christian Church. He was a self-employed auto body repairman. Jackie loved dirt track racing, fishing, and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith Popplewell Roy, who died December 7, 2015; five brothers, Ronald Gene, Junior, Bobby, Kelly Ray, and Lester "Doodler" Roy; and a sister, Opal Bernard.
