Boil Water: Russell Springs water leak found, being repaired Russell Springs, KY Water District still under Boil Water Advisory Next earlier article, this story: Russell Springs, KY, enters second day of serious water crisis Larry Smith & Tammy Sexton, FM 92.7 the WAVE & FM 99.9 the Big Dawg RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY (Wed 4 Jan 2017) "The water main leak has been located and it is currently being repaired. Water service should start to come back this evening, as water towers refill, etc. The problem was a broken 8" water main pipe along a wood line where the leaking water was running into a creek without being noticed, making it very difficult to find, especially with yesterday's rain. "As of now, anyone in the Russell Springs water district that experienced a water outage during this event should consider themselves under a boil water advisory until further notice. It will take some time for all the lines to flush out and get back to normal operation." - Update posted January 4, 2016 at City of Russell Springs.net This story was posted on 2017-01-05 03:11:46
