CHS Eagles boys' basketball team finishes 4th in Holiday Classic Eagles win in first round before narrowly losing in second round. Eagles place one player on All Tournament team. By Calen McKinney News from Campbellsville Independent Schools Campbellsville High School boys' basketball team finished this year's CHS Holiday Classic in fourth place. CHS defeated Betsy Layne on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 to advance to the second round of the tournament. The team fell in the second round to Green County on Thursday, December 29, 2016, in a very close match up. And despite battling hard, the team couldn't hold on to win against Monroe County on Friday, Dec. 30, in the third round. Final score was 57-63. CHS junior Tyrion Taylor was named to the all-tournament team. Sponsors for the classic include Campbellsville University, Murakami, Citizens Bank and Trust Co. and H&W Sport Shop. Tim Davis is in his 22nd year as CHS boys' basketball head coach. Assistant coaches are Cody Wills, Will Griffin, Chris "Scoop" Smith and Chris "Peewee" Smith.
