She was a member of Freedom Separate Baptist Church, a homemaker and a retired dairy farmer. She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Adair County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late William Ova & Lona Dishman Lowe. Her husband, Glen Raines, survives. She leaves six direct living descendants.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating Bro. Richie Curtis & Bro. Darrin Blair. Graveside service Friday 2pmCT, at the Pyles Cemetery in Wayne County with burial to follow. Visitation after 4:30pmCT Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral home.

She was born on January 1, 1937 in Wayne County, KY. She was the daughter of the late William Ova & Lona Dishman Lowe. She died Tuesday, December 20, 2016, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 19 days.
She is survived by her husband Glen Raines of Columbia, KY, and the following:
