Taylor County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 6 Dec 2016

15 individuals from Campbellsville, Scottsville, and Russell Springs, KY received indictments for charges including burglary, assault, theft, possession, forgery, and welfare fraud.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Taylor County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Campbellsville, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 6 December 2016:

  • Kevin M. Rawlings (04/08/1996), Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00187-001. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Criminal mischief, 2st degree. Count 3 - Possession of burglary tools. Count 4 - Drug paraphernalia - buy/possess. Count 5 - Possession of marijuana. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, MCR reporting and testing two times per month, no contact with complaining witness or property.

  • April D. Veltman (09/12/1986), 101 S. Court St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00187-002. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Michael Clark (08/16/1988), Wolleyville Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00188. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd or greater offense. Bond set at $5,000 full cash.

  • Megan R. Shively (08/29/1990), Smith Ridge Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00189. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness or property.

  • Tasha L. Smith (11/08/1972), Jonathan, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00190. Charged with 5 counts. Counts 1-4 - Criminal possession of a forged instrument, 2nd degree. Count 5 - Persistent felony offender. Bond set at $3,000 USB.

  • Charles Whitley (08/13/1977), Wooleyville Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00191. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by deception - include cold checks under $10,000. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law.

  • Felisha A. Pica (04/09/1990), N. 4th St., Scottsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00192. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $5,000/10%.

  • Tammy Rogers (11/19/1980), Davis St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00193. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Welfare fraud (commencement of proceeding for enforcement). Bond set at $1,000 full cash.

  • Kevin M. Rawlings (04/08/1996), Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00194-001. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Possession of burglary tools. Count 3 - Criminal mischief, 3rd degree. See bond 16-CR-00187-1.

  • April D. Veltman (09/12/1986), S. Court St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00194-002. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Mischief, 3rd degree. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no use of drugs or alcohol, no violations of the law.

  • Dayle "Dre" Thornton (07/25/1995), Bell Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00195. Charged with 7 counts. Count 1 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree, police officer. Count 2 - Assault, 3rd degree, police or probation officer. Count 3 - Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree (on foot). Count 4 - Resisting arrest. Count 5 - Assault, 4th degree (domestic violence) no visible injury. Counts 6-7 - Criminal mischief, 3rd degree. Bond set at $10,000 cash, no contact with victim.

  • Johnny Bagby (10/19/1959), Legion Park Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00196. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Failure to comply with sex offender registration, 1st offense. Count 2 - Alcohol intoxication in a public place, 1st & 2nd offense. Count 3 - Illegal possession of legend drug. Bond set at $1,000 USB.

  • Dennis Carrier (05/18/1978) Indictment No. 16-CR-00197. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Fleeing/evading police, 1st degree (MV). Count 2 - Fleeing/evading police, 2nd degree (on foot). Count 3 - Operating on suspended or revoked operators license. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $5,000 cash.

  • Leslie F. Pennington (11/11/1980), N. Poplar St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00198. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Escape, 2nd degree, identify facility. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, MCR reporting and testing 2x month, no contact with complaining witness, no violations of the law.

  • George Peterson Gribbins (07/04/1961), Rockford Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00199. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 2nd degree domestic violence. Count 2 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Bond set at $10,000 cash, no contact with victim, no contact with premises.

  • Donald Black (06/26/1954), Hwy 910, Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-200. Charged with 5 counts. Counts 1-5 - Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000. Bond set at $10,000/10%, no contact with victim.

  • Chad T. Bagby (05/04/1990), Oak St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00201. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, firearm. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness.
