Joyce P. Carman, 82, Liberty, KY (1934-2016)

Mrs. Carman was a housewife. She enjoyed yard sales and going to Goodwill. Her grandchildren call her "Pink Grandma". She was a native of Casey County, KY, the daughter of the late Herbert and Gertrude Buis Wheeler. She leaves 30 direct living descendants.

Joyce P. Carman, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at her daughter's residence in Indianapolis, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Saturday, December 10, 2016, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Ed Parton officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10amCT/11amET, until funeral time on Saturday.


Pallbearers will be her three sons, Shane and Tom Davidson, and Jeff Carman.

Born August 27, 1934, in Casey Co., KY, she was a daughter of the late Herbert & Gertrude Buis Wheeler. She died Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in Indianapolis, Marion County, KY, at the age of 82 years, three months, and nine days.

Mrs. Carman was a housewife. She enjoyed yard sales and going to Goodwill. Her grandchildren call her "Pink Grandma".

Survivors include:
  • Her sons: Randy, Rickie, and Rodger Carman

  • Daughters: Kristee Parton and Pamela Carman

  • Brother: William David Wheeler

  • Sisters: Mary Jo Richardson and Vickie Lawhorn

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Fourteen great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents: brother, Willard "Buddy" Wheeler; and sister, Ina Maupin.
