He was the son of the late Loren & Ruby Conover Grider. His wife, Anna Mae Grider, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants. He was a Pharmacist who started his career at Hopper Drug in the 1960s. He was a member of Russell Springs Christian Church. He was a Veteran of US Air Force.
