Richard Patterson, 57, Hustonville, KY (1958-2016)

He was a Lineman with IBEW and a farmer. He was a member of a large, highly regarded Casey County, KY family of the late Harrison and Rayborn Patterson, which included 13 siblings, eight of whom, including Arnold Patterson of Knifley, KY, still survive. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

Richard Patterson, age 57, of Hustonville, KY passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his residence.

Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Wednesday December 7, 2016 and after 7amCT/8amET, on Thursday December 8, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY. Funeral services will be held 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, on Thursday December 8, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will be in the K.P. Hall Cemetery.



Richard Patterson, 57, Hustonville, KY (1958-2016)


He was born in Middleburg, KY on December 7, 1958 a son of the late John Harrison and Lorine Rayborn Patterson. He died Sunday, December 4, 2016, in Hustonville, KY, at the age of 57 years, 11 months, and 27 days.

Richard was a Lineman with IBEW and a farmer.

Survivors include:
  • His spouse: Mary Rose Rowland Patterson

  • One son: Phillip Patterson of Hustonville, KY

  • One Daughter: Lisa Vaughn Stratton and (Richard)

  • Four grandchildren: Tyler and Jailynn Patterson, Ashley Ray and Eric Stratton

  • Two great grandchildren: Caiden Gonyer and Emalyn Ray

  • Six brothers: Robert and (Iva Dean) Patterson of Middleburg, KY; Arnold and (Wanda) Patterson of Knifley, KY; James and (Phyllis) Patterson of Hustonville, KY; Thomas and (Linda) Patterson of Middleburg, KY; John Glen and (Lora) Patterson of Middleburg, KY; and Marsh Wayne Patterson and (Mary Elliott) of Liberty, KY

  • Two sisters: Brenda Smith of Middleburg, KY; and Bertheda and (Billy) Berry of Hustonville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And his two yorkies: Rascal and Flatts.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers: Carlos Patterson, and an infant brother; and two sisters: Barbara Lou Patterson and Elizabeth Patterson Cain.
