She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY. She was a member of Southside Christian Church. She a member of a highly regarded Adair County family, born the daughter of Elmer Ellis & Amanda "Susie" Brockman. She was preceded in death by her three husbands: Alton Ellis in death in 1965, Robert Beard in 1981, and Ervin Kilby on December 1, 2002.

Louise Ellis Beard Kilby, 89, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 11:38amET, Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Hodgenville, KY.

The funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. Paul Patton and Bro. Eldon Rucker. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, , Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Louise Ellis Beard Kilby, Taylor Co./Adair native (1927-2016)


Louise Ellis Beard Kilby of Campbellsville, KY, was the daughter of the late Enoch Elmer Ellis & Amanda "Susie" Brockman Ellis. She was born June 17, 1927, in Adair County, KY. She died Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Hodgenville, LaRue County, KY, at the age of 89 years, five months and 17 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Southside Christian Church.

Louise was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She was preceded in death by her three husbands: Alton Ellis in death in 1965, Robert Beard in 1981, and Ervin Kilby on December 1, 2002.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Betty Giles and husband, Arthur. of Campbellsville, KY

  • One step-son: Doug Kilby and wife, Angie of Georgetown, KY

  • Five step-grandchildren

  • Two nieces: Kathy Ellis of Bowling Green and Tabitha Ellis of Campbellsville, KY

  • One nephew: Mike Ellis of Columbia, KY
  • BR> and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Ellis December 10, 2004; one brother, William Ellis; and a sister, Berneda Ellis in infancy' and a nephew, David Ellis.
