Russell Ross, 82, Russell County, KY (1934-2016)

He had worked as a road developer for the state. He was a native of Jamestown, KY, and a resident of the city at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Frank Ross & Vertie Dicken Ross. His wife, Mavis Colins Ross, survives. He leaves nine direct living descendants.

Russell Ross, N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, died Sunday, December 4, 2016, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY, after a long illness. There will be a funeral service at 2pmCT, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with burial to follow in the Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jametown. Visitation will be 11am-2pmCT at the funeral home.



Russell Ross, 82, Russell County, KY (1934-2016)


He was born October 19, 1934, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Frank Ross & Vertie Dicken Ross. He died Sunday, December 4, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 82 years, one month, and 15 days.

He worked as a road developer for the State.

He is survived by:
  • His wife, Mavis Collins Ross, Jamestown, KY

  • Two daughters: Carol Johnson, Jamestown, KY; and Rose Curtsinger, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Barbara Thomson and Virginia Koch, both of Indiana.

  • Three grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren
