Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story

The Adair County Indians basketball team improved to 3-0 with a 92-70 win at Washington County Saturday night, December 3, 2016.

The last two seasons the Washington County/Adair County game have come down to the final seconds, but this year the Indians jumped out to a 32-1 lead and didn't look back.

Kel Stotts led the Indians with 22, Anthony Payne had 16 off the bench. Chance Melton had 17 points and 14 rebounds while Corey Melton had 11 points.

Coach Deron Breeze comments
"We pushed the tempo tonight. Make or miss we were down the court before they could set their defense. We didn't take more than two dribbles on many possessions and that kept the ball moving and everybody involved.

"Our defense was good tonight at the start of the game when it needed to be. Once we built that lead we were able to work on other stuff."
