Mr. Kenneth Dee Dile, Green Co., KY (1946-2016)

Mr. Dile was a painter by trade, and had also worked as a farmer and truck driver. He enjoyed stock car racing, and kept up with all the local drivers as well as NASCAR. Mr. Dile professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a resident of the Greensburg, KY, at the time of his death in Marion County, KY. He was the son of the late Shreve and Louise (Burris) Dile. His wife, Evelyn Price Dile, survives. He leaves 26 direct living descendants

Mr. Kenneth Dee Dile, 70, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Cedars of Lebanon Nursing and Rehab Center, Lebanon, KY, after an extended illness.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Dile on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 12pmCT/1pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Dewayne Lobb will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Thursday, December 1, 2016.

Mr. Kenneth Dee Dile of Greensburg was born on January 15, 1946. He was the son of the late Shreve and Louise (Burris) Dile. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Lebanon, Marion County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

Mr. Dile was a painter by trade, and had also worked as a farmer and truck driver. He enjoyed stock car racing, and kept up with all the local drivers as well as NASCAR. Mr. Dile professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves to mourn his passing:
  • His wife: Evelyn (Price) Dile of Greensburg, KY

  • Three sons: Jeffrey Lee Dile and friend Sandy Froggett of Greensburg, Kenny Douglas Dile of Campbellsville, and Bobby Joe Dile of Green County, KY

  • Six siblings: Barbara Jo Rayburn of Columbia, KY; James Dylan "Logan" Dile of Campbellsville, KY; Charles Walter Dile and wife Diane of Taylor County, KY; Johnny Wayne DIle and wife Judy of Campbellsville, KY; Joyce Dean Simpson of Campbellsville, KY; and Sharon Sue Cates Kearney and husband Wilbert of Barren County, KY

  • A close friend: Donnie Pyle of Greensburg, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Fourteen great-grandchildren,

  • And a host of extended family and friends.
