Barbara Asbery passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at her home in Hustonville, KY. She was 70 years old.

Funeral services are at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 10amCT/11amET, until funeral service.



Pallbearers are Joe Asbery, Justin Mondie, Billy Herring, Nicholas Turpin, Josh Long, and Griffin Harness.

Barbara Asbery, 70, Casey Co., KY (1946-2016)

Born November 4, 1946 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joe L. and Lucille Polston Blakey. She died Sunday, November 27, 2016, in Hustonville, KY, at the age of 70 years, 23 days.

She was a homemaker and member of the Mt. Salem Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Asbery, who passed away December 2, 2009; and a son, William Lee Asbery.

Survivors include:
  • Her daughter-in-law: Judy Asbery of Hustonville, KY

  • Two grandsons: Joe (and Tabitha Roberts) Asbery and Nicholas Turpin

  • Four great-grandchildren: Justin Mondie, Kyndra Turpin, Brooklyn Cox, and Autumn Roberts

  • Two sisters: Judy Delk of Middleburg, KY; and Shirley (and Jerry) Hurst of Lawrenceburg, KY
