Cause of Dunnville death remains a mystery - for now

It was over one year between the report of the missing 24-year-old and the discovery of remains and official identification of Decatur Road, Russell County, KY woman; and just a day ago, her stated age in obituary as "25-year-old." The difference is clarified in this item

Casey County Coroner Curt Demrow said in a telephone interview on Friday, November 24, 2016, that while the identification of Whitney Danielle Copley has been ascertained, it may be days, weeks, or months before the cause of death is known.



The study of the cause of death continues with the country's foremost forensic anthropolists in Knoxville, TN.

Coroner Demrow also offered some clarification on the official date of death. It is the day the remains were officially identified, he said.

That explains the difference in ages in the first reports of the missing "24-year-old" woman and the obituary's age - "25-year-old" Whitney D. Copley.
