Two passengers flown to UK after collision in Casey Co., KY

Driver looses control, vehicle leaves roadway and strikes tree. 22-year-old driver not injured, but two passengers transported to Casey County Hospital then flown to UK. No seatbelts were in use. KSP, Casey Co. Sheriff's Department, Poplar Springs Fire Dept, Casey County Rescue and Casey County EMS on scene.

LIBERTY, KY (Fri 18 Nov 2016) - Tpr. Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at approximately 7:41pmET on KY 1649, 4 miles east of Liberty, KY.



22-year-old Jordan Luttrell, of Liberty, was operating a southbound 2002 Chevy Cavalier on KY 1649 when he lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Luttrell was not injured but passengers, 33-year-old Kathryn Rhodes and 19-year-old Brandi Keith, both of Liberty, were transported to Casey County Hospital and then flown to University of Kentucky Hospital where they remain in stable condition.

No seatbelts were in use. Tpr. Likins was assisted at the scene by additional KSP personnel, Casey County Sheriff's dept., Poplar Springs Fire dept., Casey County Rescue Squad and Casey County EMS.
