William (Buck) White, 82, Burkesville, KY (1934-2016)

He was a former carpenter and construction worker and had attended Grace Union Baptist Church. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Fred and Eunice Glass White and the widower of Joyce Groce White. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

William (Buck) White age 82 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral Service:

Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation was on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 2pmCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



William (Buck) White, Burkesville, KY (1934-2016)


Buck was born on March 26, 1934 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Fred and Eunice Glass White. He died Monday, November 14, 2016, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, a the age of 82 years, seven months, and 19 days.

He was a former carpenter and construction worker and had attended Grace Union Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Groce White, and two sisters, Grace Long and Margaret Smith.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Stacey White of Burkesville, KY and Tyla Groce of Smiths Grove, KY

  • One son: Ricky White of Naples, FL

  • One brother: Donnie White and his wife Deborah of Temple Hill, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Chase Evan Anderson, Jacob Lee White, and Sheena White

  • Two great grandchildren: Aubrey and Lexi

  • Brothers-in-law : Bruce (and Nancy)Groce, Luther (and Linda) Groce, and Stephen Groce all of Burkesville, KY; and Ricky (and Marie) Groce of Celina, TN

  • Several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
