He died Monday, November 14, 2016, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, a the age of 82 years, seven months, and 19 days. He was a former carpenter and construction worker and had attended Grace Union Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Groce White, and two sisters, Grace Long and Margaret Smith. Survivors include:
