Mrs. Margie Lois Buckland, 58, Taylor County, KY (1958-2016)

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a 1976 graduate of Campbellsville Independent Schools and 2016 graduate of Elizabethtown Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science, Medical Billing. She was an active volunteer in the community and enjoyed helping her family and friends. Margie was a Girls in Action and a Girl Scout leader, a GCHS Band Booster, and a Tupperware Manager. She had been employed at WalMart over twenty years at the time of her passing. She married Bill Buckland in September of 2001, and together they created many precious memories. She loved being outdoors; the times she spent camping, boating, and fishing with her family will be forever cherished, but time spent with her grandkids was paramount in her life.

Mrs. Margie Lois Buckland, 58, of Campbellsville, KY eparted this life on Monday, November 7, 2016 at her home in Campbellsville, KY.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Buckland on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11amCT,12pmNoonET at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 9600 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Don Watson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718. The family will receive friends 2pm-7pmCT/3pm-8pmET, Thursday, November 10, 2016,in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718, and on Friday, November 11, 2016, after 9amCT/10amET at the church.



James Kendall, II, Lee Kendall, R.B. Herron, Greg Beard, Anthony Beard, Shelby Gribbins, A.J. Clark, and Travis Clark will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Shellie Kendall, Jeannie Clark, Ashley LeFande, Brittany Bright, Whitley Gribbins, and Erica Gribbins.

She was born in Taylor County, KY, October 26, 1958. She was the daughter of the late Shelby Woodrow and Georgia Annetta (Gupton) Beard. She departed this life on Monday, November 7, 2016 at her home in Campbellsville, Taylor County KY, at the age of 58 years and 12 days.

  • Five siblings: Carla Kendall, Wanda LeFande, Kelvin Beard and wife Debbie, Ruthetta Clark and husband Ricky, and Myra Gribbins and husband Greg, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Elijah Blake Collings, Jocelyn Evangeline Collings, Maddox Lewis Creason, Joy Louise Joseph, and Grace Sofia Joseph,

  • One aunt: Brenda Allen and husband Ronnie of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends
