Election Day Alcohol Sales allowed in Adair County, KY At our request, Shannon Sexton sent this information - EW By Shannon Sexton, Deputy Adair County ABC Administrator Per the Kentucky Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control, in 2013 the law changed to allow alcohol sales during the hours that the polls are open on primary, or regular, local option or special election day (KRS 244.290). However, the statute further stipulates that local governments may prohibit such sales.
