Blue Raider Football hosts Bethel today, Sat 5 Nov 2016 By Anthony Latessa COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 10-ranked Lindsey Wilson football team hosts No. 23-ranked Bethel (TN) today, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Blue Raider Stadium, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY, at 1:30pmCT. Fifteen football student-athletes will be honored during Senior Day prior to the game. Senior Day activities begin at 1:05pmCT. The Blue Raiders (9-1, 3-1 MSC West Division) defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday in the Battle of Highway 55 rivalry 54-33. Leading 14-13 at halftime Lindsey Wilson outscored the Tigers 33-6 in the third quarter in an eight-minute span. The Blue Raiders had 592 total yards of offense. Dylan Beasley completed 32-of-40 passes for 413 yards and three touchdowns and added two touchdowns on the ground in the victory. Cedric Washington had seven receptions for 180 yards and a touchdown. Hunter Lovell caught eight passes for 84 yards, Tyrone Stallard caught six passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Jalen Sublett led the Blue Raider ground game with 55 yards and two touchdowns. D' Andre Hart led the Lindsey Wilson defense with 10 tackles and an interception. Airius Phillips had nine tackles, Avery Ford recorded eight tackles and Trent Mueller had five tackles and two tackles-for-loss. Chris Oldham recorded a sack and Nathan Cunningham recovered a fumble. The Blue Raiders come into Saturday's game with the sixth best scoring offense in the NAIA averaging 49.4 points per game. Their 503.7 yards per game is eighth and the 317.2 passing yards per game are ninth in the NAIA. Bethel (7-2, 1-2 MSC West Division) lost to Cumberland on Saturday 62-55 in two overtimes. The Wildcats had 468 yards of offense in the loss with 248 of them coming on the ground. Ayaunta Davis had 90 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Quincy Walden caught five passes for 97 and a touchdown and had a 79 yard kickoff return touchdown. The Wildcats rank third in the NAIA in rushing offense per game with 296.1 yards. Their 41.7 points per game is good for ninth best and they are 13th best in total offense per game with 475 yards. This is the third meeting between the two schools. Each team has won a game in the series. Last season the Blue Raiders won 30-22.
