Now it's time to plan for Christmas Card Village Columbia

Time to start thinking about Christmas in Columbia, and prepare for another Christmas Card Village. There will also be a Christmas Story Trail around the square, sure to be a big hit with young readers and their families. There will be a People's Choice Award, so take the time to be imaginative! Headquarters for registering and being a part of the Christmas Card Village: The Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.

By Ellen Zornes, President, Adair Heritage Association

On behalf of the Adair Heritage Association, we thank all 52 Squarecrow creators for making our square come alive!

Now it's time to move on, take them down and prepare for Christmas.

We will once again be having our Christmas Card Village all around the square. Please register Cards with the library and get your spot.

This year you will be choosing the People's Choice Award...more on that later.

A reminder that the Card size is approximately 4 feet x 4 feet or half of a sheet of plywood board that can be purchased locally.

And remember to cut a hole for a child's face.

We can't wait to see this year's Christmas Cards in our village square!

Also the library and Early Childhood Council are planning a Christmas Story Trail similar to the Halloween trail to get your Christmas book and look for drawings of Christmas Trees by Adair County children displayed in business windows on the square.

And of course, the Chamber of Commerce's Christmas in Columbia Saturday, December 3, 2016. Lots of fun around the square this Christmas!
