Body found in Barren Co. along LBN Parkway in 2011 identified

Woman had been reported missing in 2007; body discovered in 2011.

GLASGOW, KY (Mon 24 Oct 2016) - In regards to the body found off the shoulder of the Louie B Nunn Parkway at the 8 mile marker in Barren County on August 15, 2011, the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green has received information from the Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville advising that the body has been identified through DNA evidence.



The body was identified as Carma J. Purpura of Indianapolis, IN, who would have been 35 years of age at the time she was discovered in 2011. She was reported missing from Indianapolis, IN on July 11, 2007.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Detective Jason Lanham. No other details can be released at this time.
