Docey was a devoted mother and matriarch of her family. She was the daughter of the late George and Viva Atkins Roy and the widow of Clyde Goodin, Jr. She leaves 42 direct living descendants. She was 93 years young. Funeral service are 12pmCT/1pmET Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Docey Goodin will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Monday, October 24, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and will continue Tuesday from 7amCT/8amET, until funeral service. Pallbearers are Derrick Pendleton, Peggy Hatfield, Jason Hatfield, Randy Anderson, Barry Ballenger, and Christian Kilgallin. She died Saturday, October 22, 2016, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 93 years, eight months, and 23 days. She was a homemaker and former janitor at the Kentucky Theater. Docey was a member of the Thomas Ridge Christian Church. Docey was a devoted mother and matriarch of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Goodin, Sr. who died February 7, 2013; Two sons, Clyde Goodin, Jr. and Darrell Goodin; a granddaughter, Tina Goodin; a great-granddaughter, Dosha Passmore; seven brothers, Romey, Bocey, Vester, Columbus, Willie, Nathanel, and Jimmy Roy; and five sisters, Donnie Roy Russell, Cindy Roy, Ora Roy, Emma Roy, and Adell Roy.
