LWC women's soccer hosts Georgetown Wed 19 Oct 2016

COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team hosts No. 24-ranked Georgetown (KY) at 7pmCT, Wed 19 Oct 2016, at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY.



The Blue Raiders (8-3-0, 3-0-0 MSC) defeated Georgia Gwinnett 2-0 on Saturday. Emelie Liljered scored the first goal for Lindsey Wilson and Annika Koemm put the game away for the Blue Raiders in the 85th minute with a goal. Koemm, the reigning MSC Offensive Player of the Week has five goals in her last two games and a team high nine goals on the year. This was the fifth-straight shutout for Lindsey Wilson and they have not allowed a goal in 493 minutes.

The Tigers (10-2-1, 4-0-0 MSC) come into tonight's game off a 2-1 victory over Campbellsville (KY) on October 5, 2016. Zoe Stovik and Bethany Massey each scored for Georgetown. The Tigers have now won their last nine games and have recorded a shutout in four of them.

Tonight's matchup is the 37th meeting between the two schools. Lindsey Wilson holds a 32-1-3 series edge. Last season the Blue Raiders defeated Georgetown 2-0.
