CPD arrests two Adair County men theft and drug charges

Arrests made by CPD Sgt Gary Roy. Suspects lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail

Two Adair county men arrested on theft and drug charges after traffic stop in reference to break ins on Burksville Street.



On Thursday, October 13, 2016, Columbia Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a 2003 Saturn off of Burksville street in reference to an investigation. Columbia Police have been investigating a string of break-ins at storage units and had developed a suspect vehicle matching the vehicle.

Upon stop, items, which, had been reported as stolen were located inside the vehicle. Also located was methamphetamine and syringes.

Arrested were Bradley Whitehead, 29, of Columbia on charges of Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Approximately three hours later a second suspect, Larry Taylor, 36, of Columbia was located and arrested on Receiving Stolen Property under $500.

Both suspects were arrested by CPD Sgt. Gary Roy and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
