Dr. Marian Smith: Expert authority vouches for TJ Health Fair

LWC Nursing pleased to partner with TJ Health Fair
Related: Early blood draws underway leading up to 2016 health fair

Dear Linda,

Thank you so much for your very positive response to the early lab draw process that is being conducted by TJ Health Columbia. The TJ Health Columbia Health Fair will occur Saturday, October 22, 2016. I have it on expert authority from someone who has participated in every health fair offered by the hospital (my mother, Eulah Helm), that the process this year was excellent and very organized!

The Lindsey Wilson College Division of Nursing and Health is very pleased to partner with TJ Health/Columbia in maintaining this significant health screening and service event for our community. Please plan to attend the health fair.

In early June, we began partnership conversations with representatives from TJ Samson to continue this essential annual service to the community. Through the resources of a grant supplied by Lindsey Wilson College nursing and the Good Samaritan Foundation, Lindsey Wilson College programs of nursing are able to support this effort substantially.

We hope the citizens of Adair County will continue to welcome and support TJ Samson Health Columbia by participating in this event and any future health outreach events.

Likewise, I am confident the citizens of Adair County will continue to see the local hospital as a very important and life-saving institution in our County. The nursing staff and participating providers demonstrate critical, excellent, emergency and ongoing health care to our community.

I have found the staff and health care providers at TJ to be first rate and we look forward to increasing our partnerships with them in the future.

Welcome to Columbia TJ Samson - We are very happy you are here!

Regards,

Dr. Marian Smith RN
Chair Division of Nursing and Health
Lindsey Wilson College
