Mrs. Elaine Sapp Milby, 81, Green County/Taylor native, KY (1935-2016)

She had made a profession of faith Christ and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. She worked at the Dime Store in Campbellsville, at Union Underwear and she was a homemaker and a farmer. Her husband, Leondard Milby, survives. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Mrs. Elaine Sapp Milby, 81, departed this life Monday, October 3, 2016 at her home in the Whitewood Community of Green County, KY. having attained the age of eighty-one years, seven months and two days.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Sapp Milby will be conducted 3pmCT Time Friday, October 7, 2016, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Jim Durham officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery in Green County. Visitation will be from 5pm til 8pmCT Thursday, October 6, 2016, and after 7amCT, Friday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.



Pallbearers: Dylan Knifley, Ethan Edwards, Bobby Noble, Jr., Doug Akin, Alan Posey, and David Wise

Mrs. Elaine Sapp Milby, 81, was born March 1, 1935 in Taylor County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ira Sapp and Margaret Colvin Sapp. She departed this life Monday, October 3, 2016 at her home In the Whitewood Community of Green County, KY, having attained the age of eighty-one years, seven months and two days

She had made a profession of faith Christ and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. She worked at the Dime Store in Campbellsville, at Union Underwear and she was a homemaker and a farmer.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers: Doug, Wallace and Ralph Sapp.

She is survived by her husband Leonard Milby, and the following:
  • Three daughters and two sons-in-law: Linda and Terry Martin of Greensburg, KY; Sandy and Tim Edwards of Campbellsville, KY; and Lorrie Knifley of Green County, KY

  • One sister: Pauline Wise of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her sister-in-law: Ann Akin of Greensburg, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Andrea and Ethan Edwards, Jessica Martin Noble and her husband Bobby Noble, Jr.; and Dylan Knifley.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Hosparus of Central KY. These can be made at the funeral home.
