Emergency road aid funds awarded to Adair County BARNETT'S CREEK ROAD BRIDGE - For bridge replacement on Barnett Creek Road. It's important for public safety, especially for school buses which travel Barnett's Creek Road, he said. The existing bridge is a hodgepodge of materials, which includes a part of an old silo. - CM Click on headline for complete story By Amber Hale, Public Information Officer Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 8, Somerset, KY SOMERSET, KY (3 Oct 2016) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced that the Adair County Fiscal Court will receive $125,700 in County Road Aid emergency funds. This money will be used for bridge replacement on Barnett Creek Road, making it safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon the roadway. "These emergency funds are being used to repair roadways and to improve safety and mobility in Adair County," said Transportation Secretary Greg Thomas. "This project is one example of the cabinet's commitment to providing a solid infrastructure in Adair County and all across the Commonwealth."
