Mr. Jerry Lynn Shofner, age 55, of Jackson Towers in Campbellsville, died Saturday, September 24, 2016, at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Lynn Shofner will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with burial in the Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery. Bobby Landis and Phillip DeSpain will be the officiating clergy. The family requested visitation 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Lyon-Dewitt-Berry Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Olyn Sprowles, Chad Sumrall, Josh Gabbert, Alan DeWitt, Gary Miller, and Virgil Shofner

He was the son of the late Roscoe and Audrey Thompson Shofner of Taylor County.

Jerry was also preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny Wayne, W.R. and Garnett Shofner and two brothers-in-law, Larry Walters and Terry Gabbert.

He is survived by the following:
  • One brother and his wife: Larry and Ann Shofner of Texas

  • Four sisters and spouses: Brenda and Tim Sumrall, Linda and Eddie Sumrall all of Mississippi; and Diane Walters and Sharon Gabbert both of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews

  • Two very special friends: Sherry Pickett and Phillip DeSpain.
