CMS students study conflict

By Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer
Campbellsville Independent Schools (CIS)

Campbellsville Middle School fourth-graders are studying the elements of a story, and recently did an exercise to study how conflict is used in stories.

In Maranda Wright's reading classes, students are discussing setting, characters and conflicts.

Wright told students there are four types of conflicts, including person vs. self, person vs. person, person vs. nature and person vs. society.

To understand the different types of conflicts, students were divided into groups and then given scenarios to read.

After reading the conflict, students discussed which type of conflict they believed the situation fit.
