LWC Women's Golf in 4th after one round at MSC Tournament By Charlie Balcom Mt. Juliet, TN - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team shot an opening round 321 to sit in fourth place after day one at the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament at the Windtree Golf Club. The Blue Raiders are 23 strokes behind first-place Campbellsville (Ky.), 16 strokes behind Cumberlands (Ky.), and three strokes behind third-place Cumberland (Tenn.) heading into the final round on Tuesday. Lindsey Wilson leads fifth-place Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) by five strokes in the nine-team tournament. Tara Rodenhurst provided the low Blue Raider round of the day after shooting a 6-over par 78 on the par-72, 5,801-yard course. She is tied for 10th place and is eight strokes behind tournament leader Cassidy Scantland of Campbellsville (Ky.), the lone golfer under par at 2-under. Rodenhurst started her round with a birdie, but a pair of double bogeys and a bogey put her at 4-over after nine holes. She followed with seven pars and two bogeys on the front nine to finish at 6-over. Courtney Vincent is one stroke behind Rodenhurst with a 7-over par 79 in a tie for 12th place. Vincent went even-par on the back nine but a triple and double bogey late in her round dropped five strokes in just two holes. Her three birdies were tied for the third most in the round. Shayna Cockrill is tied for 22nd place after her 10-over 82 during the first day. She played the front nine 3-over but stumbled on the back nine carding a 7-over. Dacie Bolton is also tied for 22nd place with Cockrill. Bolton also excelled at on the front nine, going 1-over, but struggled on the back nine going 9-over par including a pair of triple bogeys. Megan Kriz completed the team with a 17-over 89 and sits in 36th place in the field of 52. Kenna Richardson, playing as an individual, is in a tie for 17th place after a 9-over 81.
