Lindsey Wilson Men's Soccer takes down Martin Methodist 3-0 Win comes in front of 161 in attendance at Martin Methodist Grissom Pitch Next: Lindsey Wilson Men's Soccer hosts Rio Grande (Ohio) at 7pmCT on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY By Chris Wells, Sports Information Director Lindsey Wilson College PULASKI, TN - No. 23-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer extended its winning streak to a season-high three matches with a 3-0 win over host Martin Methodist (TN.) tonight at the MMC Grissom Pitch. Three different Blue Raiders found the back of the net in the win while Alvaro Cortazar recorded his third shutout of the season to help Lindsey Wilson improve to 4-2 on the season. Mutaya Mwape put the Blue Raiders in front in the 15th minute off a beautiful curler off a free kick just outside the penalty area for the 1-0 lead. The goal is the fourth of the season for Mwape. Mwape's goal was the lone score of the first 45 minutes. Lindsey Wilson wasted little time in the second half doubling its lead. Andrew Revanales notched his team-leading fifth goal of the season in the 50th minute to give the Blue Raiders a 2-0 lead. Lindsey Wilson - who controlled play for much of the match, out-shooting the RedHawks 19-8 - added the final goal of the night in the 79th minute. Dioulde Niane scored his second goal of the season off his own rebound to give the Blue Raiders the 3-0 lead and ultimately the win. Cortazar finished the game with two saves. Martin Methodist goalkeeper Naoya Fugono allowed all three goals while collecting five saves. This story was posted on 2016-09-18 21:13:45
