Mrs. Marie Drostie will be laid to rest in Watson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, September 15, 2016, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and will continue Friday from 7amCT/8amET, until funeral service. Marie Smith Drostie, 89, Casey County, KY (1927-2016) Born February 14, 1927 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John "Jake" Smith and Mary Ellis Dick Smith. She died Tuesday, September 13, 2016, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 89 years, six mnths, and 30 days. She was a homemaker and a member of the Watson Chapel Christian Church. She loved quilting, gardening, and canning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Drostie, who died August 27, 1985; daughter, Phyllis Carman; grandson, John Whited; three brothers, Oliver, Oscar, and William Smith; and five sisters, Irene Henson, Della McAninch, Manilla Ellison, Rella Hines, and Ora Gadberry.
