No. 12 LWC Football hosts No. 18 Georgetown 10 Sep 2016

Prior to the game, a trio of Blue Raiders will be recognized for being selected to the Kentucky Collegiate All-Commonwealth Team. Chris Oldham, Avery Ford and Jalen Sublett will receive the award from former Cleveland Brown and executive director of the Kentucky Football Hall of Fame Frank Minnifield.

COLUMBIA, KY - The 12th-ranked Lindsey Wilson football team faces 18th-ranked Georgetown (KY) on Sat 10 Sep 2016 at 1:30pmCT at Blue Raider Stadium, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY.



The Blue Raiders (2-0) defeated Lyon (AR) 63-17 on last Saturday. Lindsey Wilson scored 42 straight points after the Scots had cut the lead to 21-17. The Blue Raiders were led on offense by quarterback Dylan Beasley. Beasley recorded his third career 300-yard passing game, throwing for a career-high 381 yards. He also threw for three touchdown passes. Wide receiver Jay Gaudlock caught a team-high seven passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.

The Blue Raider defense -- led by Trent Mueller's 12 tackles -- recorded their first two takeaways of the season forcing a pair fumbles. Lindsey Wilson only allowed 235 yards in the game and just 46 yards in the second half.

Georgetown (1-0) comes into Saturday's game off a 28-7 win against Cumberland (TN) on September 1. The Tiger defense forced three turnovers in the game. Georgetown quarterback Ozzie Mann threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Bart Bell had five receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Saturday's matchup is the seventh meeting between the two schools. Georgetown is one of three schools -- including Campbellsville (KY) and Union (Ky.) -- that Lindsey Wilson has played each season since starting football in 2010.

Georgetown holds a 4-2 edge in the series. Lindsey Wilson has won two-straight against the Tigers including a 24-17 win last season in Georgetown. Beasley threw for 271 yards and two touchdowns to give the Blue Raiders a win in the closing seconds.
