Russell County injury collision sends one to UK Medical Center

RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY (7 Sep 2016) - Tpr. Adam Likins is investigation a collision that occurred at 5:50pmCT, on E Hwy 80, 6 miles east of Russell Springs.



61-year-old Arthur Noonkester, of Russell Springs, KY, was operating a westbound 2016 Moped on Ky 80 when he lost control, left the roadway and traveled into the ditch line and was thrown from the moped.

Noonkester was not wearing a helmet and was flown from the scene to University of Kentucky Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Tpr. Likins was assisted at the scene by Russell County Sheriff's Department, Fire, EMS and rescue.
