She was an Artist, Poet and Author of short stories. Laura Lee Kennard will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Laura Lee Kennard, 87, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016, at Fair Oaks Health Systems in Jamestown, KY. A Memorial Service for Laura Lee will be Saturday, September 17, 2016, 6pmCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Pastor Frank Shipman officiating. Laura Lee Kennard, 87, Russell Co., KY (1929-2016) Laura Lee was born in Farmington, IA, on June 28, 1929, a daughter of the late Katie (Hols) and Roy Frow. She died Sunday, September 4, 2016, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, a the age of 87 years, two months, and seven days. Laura Lee was the loving wife of George Shelby Kennard, mother of Janey Coffman and Charles Herdrich, grandmother of Stony Coffman, and Mandy Lee Estes,as well as eight great grandchildren, and sister to Bill Frow, Bernice Kula, and Jean Deere. Throughout her life she had many vocations, Teacher, Librarian,Federal Worker, and Piano Technician. She was an Artist, Poet and Arthur of short stories. Laura Lee Kennard will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. The family request memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association and can be made at the funeral home.
