Gladys Norfleet Emerson, 87, of Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at her home.

Funeral service for Gladys Emerson will be 11amCT, Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Paul Roy officiating. Visitation 5pm-8pmCT, Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment in the Union Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Ben Lawless, Jediah Lawless, Anthony Lawless, Michael Perkerson, Keith Owens, and Tim Owens.

Gladys Norfleet Emerson, 87, Russell County, KY (1929-2016)

She was born May 23, 1929 in Pulaski County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Offie & Lina Dause Norfleet. She died Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 87 years, three months, and seven days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Eden United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cassell Emerson.

  • One son: Danny Joe (Bridgett) Emerson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandsons: Tyler (Brittany) Emerson, Raleigh, NC; and Patrick Emerson, Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Murriel Minton, Michigan
The family requests memorials to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. These can be made at the funeral home.
