Catherine Turner Feather, 86, Taylor Co., KY (1929-2016)

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church where she had played the organ for many years. Mrs. Feather retired from the Taylor County School System after 30 years of dedication to both the special education and preschool programs. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, the daughter of the late Redman L. Turner & Naomi Smith Turner. She was the widow of Stanley S. Feather, Sr. She leaves 19 direct living descendants.

Catherine Turner Feather of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Redman L. Turner and Naomi Smith Turner, was born December 16, 1929, in Jefferson County, KY. She died at 3:04 P.M., Monday, August 29, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 86

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Paul J. Dicken. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the funeral home.

Catherine Turner Feather of Campbellsville, KY was the daughter of the late Redman L. Turner and Naomi Smith Turner. She was born December 16, 1929, in Jefferson County, KY. She died, Monday, August 29, 2016 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 86 years, eight months, and 13 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church where she had played the organ for many years.

Mrs. Feather retired from the Taylor County School System after 30 years of dedication to both the special education and preschool programs.

She united in marriage to Stanley S. Feather, Sr. who preceded her in death May 24, 1989.

She is survived by the following:
  • Five sons and one daughter: Terry Feather, Gary Feather and wife, Lori all of Campbellsville, KY; David Feather of Greensburg, KY; Johnny Feather and wife, Deana of Somerset, KY; Stanley "Smitty" Feather, Jr. and wife, Brenda Fister of Berthoud, CO; and Frances Feather of Versailles, KY

  • Ten grandchildren: Jessica Feather and husband, Ben Brubaker, Paul Feather and wife, Terra Currie-Feather; Ellen Feather, Matthew Feather, Hannah Feather, John Feather, Mark Feather, Genesis Feather, Alex Gaskins and Isaac Gaskins

  • Four great-grandchildren: Hayden, Zinnia, Ash and Magnolia

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one brother, James "Jimmy" Turner and a son-in-law, Mark Bell.
