LWC Women's Golf selected to finish third in MSC poll By Charlie Balcom The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team has been picked to finish in third place in the Mid-South Conference in 2016-17 as the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll was released by the conference office on Thursday. The Blue Raiders accumulated 26 total voting points from the MSC coaches. Cumberlands (Ky.) was selected to win the conference in 2016-17 with 35 voting points and five first-place votes. The Patriots won both the regular season and tournament crowns a year ago. Campbellsville (Ky.) collected 29 points and the final two first-place votes. Cumberland (Tenn.) was chosen to finish fourth with 22 points, followed by Pikeville (Ky.) in fifth with 16 points and Georgetown (Ky.) in sixth with 13 points. Shawnee State (Ohio) rounds out the poll with six points. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team in the poll. This story was posted on 2016-08-18 17:17:09
