Corinne "Polly" Gabehart 89, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Arthur Carter and Corinne Best Carter, was born June 9, 1927, in Pinellas County, Florida. She died at 4:10pmCT, Friday, August 12, 2016 in Campbellsville.

Funeral service will be 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Jim Collison, III and Rev. Brent Gupton. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Monday, August 15, 2016. Burial will be Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY.



Corinne (Polly) Gabehart, 89, Taylor Co., KY (1927-2016)

Corinne "Polly" Gabehart was the daughter of the late John Arthur Carter and Corinne Best Carter. She was born June 9, 1927, in Pinellas County, Florida. She died Friday, August 12, 2016 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 89 years, two months, and three days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elkhorn Baptist Church.

She was a Nursing Assistant at Metzmeier Nursing Home for 23years and also as a private caretaker for many people.

She united in marriage to Ernest S. Gabehart October 4, 1946. He preceded her in death December 22, 1984.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and two daughters: Ernie Gabehart and wife, Hilda; Sue Simpson and husband, Jeff; and Pam Thompson and husband, Philip of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Sham Gabehart and wife, Noelle, Angela Raines and husband, Klint; Nicole Dicken and husband, Rongie; Beth Turner and husband, Brandon; Laura Adams and Tyler Gabehart

  • Thirteen great-grandchildren: Bryce Steele, Cody Raines, Blake Raines, Brylee Adams, Haleigh Murphy, Kaitlyn Raines, Lily Murphy, Keeley Dicken, Ryder Murphy, Grayson Gabehart, Brystol Simpson, Paysley Turner and James Ernest Gabehart

  • One half sister: Margie Brown of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, John "Shorty" Gabehart and a brother, Johnny Carter.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles Or The Alzheimer's Association and may be made at the funeral home.
